Registration for Spring 2021 Season

Registration for the Spring 2021 EBSC recreation season is now open. 

Please see below for the most frequently asked questions related to registration. If you have any further questions or issues, please email the VP of Registration.


Registration Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):


Q: What is the cost of the program, and what is included?

A: Our recreational soccer program is $140/season (plus a service fee) and includes a jersey. Our Futures program for U5 - U6 also includes a size 3 soccer ball.

Q: What is the Work Bond?

A: A work bond program where each parent submits an additional fee for each child to the league upon registration. After completing volunteer assignments, the fee is returned to the family.  The fee for this year's work bond is $100.  If you know you cannot volunteer, you have the choice to buy-out of the work bond upfront for $100.  Otherwise, please select your volunteer preferences and then go here to sign up (unless you are a head coach). It is your responsibility to make sure your work bond is fulfilled, or you will be charged the $100.  Please note that Assistant Coaching or TOPs volunteering does not fulfill work bond requirements, and Munchkins are NOT responsible for work bonds.


Q: What is the TOPSoccer Program?

A: TOPSoccer stands for The Outreach Program and is a US Youth Soccer community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and to play soccer to any boy or girl who has a mental or physical disability. If your child is not special needs, please select either our Futures program (U3 - U7) or our recreation program (U8 and up).


Q: My child is not special needs.  Can I enroll in the T.O.P.Soccer program?

A: No. The T.O.P.Soccer program is only being offered to build community awareness of this exciting opportunity!  Please select the Futures program (U3 - U7) or our recreation program (U8 and up) and pay the standard registration fee of $140.


Q: How long is registration open?

A: Registration will remain open through February 15th.  Late registration will extend from February 16 - 28.  Late registrations will include an additional $35 charge that is not refundable.  Please register in a timely manner and do not delay, or you may not be placed on a team!


Q: How old does my child have to be to play soccer?

A: Our Tiny Tykes program is for the youngest players.  For the spring 2021 season, your child must be born in 2017 to start playing soccer.


Q: When does the season start and end?

A: The Spring season will begin on April 17th and end on June 5th, 2021.


Q: What is the schedule?

A: The game schedule will be finalized at the end of March.  Recreational games are played on Saturdays. Game times for players born in 2013 to 2009 will rotate weekly.  For example, in week 1, your child may play at 9 am, week 2- 10:30 am, week 3- 12 pm, and week 4- 9 am.  Parents can expect games to be scheduled between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm on Saturdays.  All teams from 2013 to 2009 are expected to hold a team practice at least once a week.   Practice days/times are determined by the head coach and will be communicated once teams are formed.


Q: I am interested in volunteering my time. How do I let EBSC know?

A: When you register, you can opt to volunteer as a Head Coach or an Assistant. We are always looking for more coaches and assistants, so please consider doing so. You can also select if you want more information on Field Maintenance or Snack Stand Duty. For T.O.P.Soccer, special training is required, so please reach out to our T.O.P.Soccer director with any questions or for more information on that program. Please note that Assistant Coaching or volunteering for TOPs does not fulfill work bond requirements.

Coaches Needed: We strongly encourage you to consider registering as a head coach or an assistant. The Club will take steps to assist you if you are starting. Our Club continues to grow in enrollment, and we MUST have additional coaches to meet those needs. Please see our coach's corner for updated information regarding coaching requirements. 


Q: What is the refund policy for the Spring 2021 season?

A: Refunds requested before February 28th, 2021, will be given a full refund minus the charged service fee. Refund requests between March 1st and the start of the season, April 17th, will be subject to a $15 processing fee as well. After opening day, no refunds will be issued. Please note that late fees are not refundable. For refund requests, please email the VP of Registration with the following information: Player’s name, DOB, and reason for the refund.  

**** COVID-19 Refund Policy***

In the case of an NJ State or government shutdown during the season, refunds will be adjusted to reflect the number of weeks played.  Otherwise, anything before the start of the season will be a full refund for State or government-mandated shutdowns only.  For additional information regarding our covid-19 policies, please contact:  recreationebsc@gmail.com
